mundarnity

[munda]ne x mode[rnity]

in 2023, mundarnity looks like

endless scrolling

overwhelm of self-help, no action

repressed emotions for some

unprocessed, overshared emotions for others

confusion embodied, smiles feigned

internet cloud (read: “influencing”)

data integrity and privacy abolished

the American dream destroyed, pined after

content for the sake of content

fame over fulfillment

physiology ignored

love traded for lust

noise, noise, noise

wars for profit, tax funded

deficits exacerbated in kind

community scarcity

career death traps

dreams monetized

family deferred

God’s grave bereft.

all commonplace, powerless to the barrelling train.
