I do not desire
permanence
in this current existence.
this is not home.
never was, never will be.
familiarity here is not
comfort for me.
I must go
where the winds sing in the grasses
where the sky is expansive.
not chimneys in my view
not even my foot in a shoe.
unbridled I must become
rended myself,
come undone.
But only by your standards.
to me I’ll be free
exactly as our Creator
intended for me.
b.w.
